Unfortunately, instead of receiving the assistance he sought, Mr X and his family found themselves detained by the <em>Tanzania<\/em>n authorities under the accusation of residing illegally in the country.<\/p>\n<p>What followed in the days that ensued was a harrowing experience for Mr X and his family. Despite presenting evidence of his legal status, including documents confirming his ongoing passport application and a visa allowing his stay until September 2006, Mr X and his loved ones were subjected to unwarranted arrest and detention. To further compound their suffering, upon arrival at the prison, Mr X was subjected to a degrading and invasive anal search, all in the presence of his children.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"a_landmark_judgment_tanzania%e2%80%98s_violations_exposed\"><\/span>A Landmark Judgment: <u>Tanzania<\/u>&#8216;s Violations Exposed<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>After enduring seven long years of legal proceedings in <strong>Tanzania<\/strong>n courts, Mr X was eventually ordered to leave the country.
